Thank you, but i prefer lighter to cigarette.

Well this post is a result of my first post. My earlier post would have raised many a question that... Does he smoke??

Hmmm so before I clear your doubt regarding my smoking habit, let me tell u about the Lighter. It was invented by Johann Wolfgang Döbereiner in 1823 and an interesting fact is that it was invented before the match stick. So that's the history part of it, for more information Google. I feel any invention you name is great because that's the way you appreciate good things done by others.

Coming to me...

Lighter gives me a pride of holding the fire in my hand. I feel powerful having it with me, like the fire guy in the X-Men II. You can relate fire to many things, starting philosophically with life, showing light to the world, guiding the path in the dark, blah blah blah... Fire is mortal; it just comes from its source and vanishes in the air. There is no master for fire, HE who awakens it, owns it and possessing that Fire makes ME feel good.

I keep on playing with it when ever I feel like. It's one of my accessories when I move out of house. I show off to my friends, I feel it’s cool. Once when I went to Odyssey with my mom I saw some superb collection of Zippo lighters. I even asked mom to buy one for me and she got ready for that. I was like at last I would be having a Zippo in my pocket... yuppie! Till here the story was fine but as the sales guy unlocked the box and picked up the one I selected and spoke out... Four Thousand Sir! Hmmm... That went into my ears like an old record being played on a gramophone. What else! We walked back he he... will be having it soon.
And you know what my sister bought me from Mysore Infosys campus when she came back? A Lighter, it has a LED torch at the back of it... Cool. I have a collection of lighters, not a rich collection though.

I want to say some more that I never handed a lighter to a friend or a foe trying to light a cigarette beside me.
I am allergic to smoke but I don’t mind my friends take a puff on that fag by which they are inhaling smoke that contains chemicals found in insecticide, explosives and floor cleaner, Ant poison, nail polish remover, weed killer, self tanning lotion and aviation fuel. I just move out or turn for fresh air. I know they anyhow won’t care for what they do to themselves, so I care even less to warn them.

So, by now I hope I don’t have to make a point that I Don’t Smoke.
And these are my Lighters.
