A week later …
Wanted to paint something, as I got leisure time after many days and the mood was also building up. Took out my drawing board, an incomplete sketch was already clipped to it. It was a very old sketch which I left to paint but never finished. Somehow didn’t like it now, so erased it completely. Took a new A3 size drawing sheet and was thinking to paint a colorful one. Suddenly the soap bubbles came in mind and the idea behind it. So decided to do it.
And this is the result …
When I first showed this painting to my friends, I got some reviews. By those I understood that it’s important for me to explain this painting in my view. So decided to put up this in my blog and give a brief about it.
Starting with the idea of this painting I just wanted to express that how my memories were refreshed when I saw the soap bubbles. I used to make my own kit of soap bubbles, like I used to mix the shampoo in the water and then make a handle with a circle at the end. I used to make these handles with the iron/copper wires that I gathered from the crackers (sparkles) after crushing the burnt magnesium over them. I used to have fun! I even used to add ink to the soap water thinking I’ll get colored bubbles : ) he he. Coming to the person in the painting; I could have drawn myself in there without any hassle but I wanted to showcase a normal person who can be anyone in this busy world, having a little timeout for himself and enjoying the soap bubbles. Here soap bubbles are a persona of your little joys which are forgotten. I have all the memories of all my little joys with me; hope you people too have them.
Out of this topic; I always wondered about the message that a bubble can give us. “Pal mein jeevan, pal mein mruthyu.” Will try to write about this some other time.
